MAIL SERVICE

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish mail service procedures for Pellissippi State Community College.

Policy

    College mail is picked up at the U.S. post office daily and processed through the mailroom located n Bill Haslam for Math and Science Building, room 2005. Out- going mail should be in the mailroom by 2:30 p.m. for delivery to the U.S. post office.
  1. The mailroom staff will process all out-going mail for the college. Processing includes sealing letters (submit with flap folded down), putting on the required postage, and delivering to the post office.
  2. A Postal Charge Form (#182059) must be attached to all outgoing mail. Forms are available in the mailroom.
  3. Departmental and office mailboxes are located on the Hardin Valley Campus on the 2ⁿᵈ Floor of Bill Haslam Center for Math and Science, room 2005. A delivery is made each day to Blount County Campus, Magnolia Avenue Campus, and Strawberry Plains Campus. The mail carrier leaves the Hardin Valley Campus each day at 8:30 a.m.
  4. Pellissippi State will not provide postage for personal mail nor receive personal mail.
  5. When addressing inter-campus mail, provide receiver’s name, department and campus location.
