BUILDING ENERGY CONSERVATION PROCEDURES

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to outline the college’s building energy conservation procedures.

Policy

The Pellissippi State Community College Facilities office uses building automation and energy management technology.

  1. Temperatures are set to maintain energy efficiency within our buildings based on occupancy and campus semester schedules. Campus lighting utilizes occupancy sensors and photocell technology where possible.
  2. Pellissippi State is in compliance with federal regulations. Should you encounter problems with temperature setting, please contact the director of Facilities. Should a specific area not be in compliance with the regulations, contact the Facilities staff at 865-694-6618 so that the institution can review the situation.
  3. The College is exempt from compliance with the regulations for the computer rooms.
